  6. ACCESSES.INI to ACCESSES.BAK or DELETE YOUR CURRENT ACCESSES.INI
  7. FILE!!!  THE INI FILES ARE SIGNIFICANTLY DIFFERENT!

  9. This file lists current bugs/differences when Accesses is running with
  10. the Second Beta Release of Windows 3.1

  14. TO WINDOWS 3.1 version 2 BETA TESTERS:

  18. The File Manager in Windows 3.1 does not default to the Win.ini extension
  19. when you double click on a document name if the document name is listed in the
  20. new File+Open dialog box as an internal association.  Currently, you have to
  21. add each of these extensions in File Manages' associate dialog box.

  25. To associate Notepad.exe with WIN.INI and to launch this thru Accesses,
  26. select an ini file in File Manager's file list, then add in the
  27. File+Associate dialog box of File Manager:

  29.     Accesses.exe notepad.exe

  33. Close Accesses.exe before manually changing the Accesses.ini file using a text
  34. editor.  Then reopen Accesses.  The new Windows is caching ini files and I have
  35. not found a way, if there is one yet, to flush the cache.  Therefore, even when
  36. I tell Accesses to reread the accesses.ini file, even if the file on disk is
  37. newer than the one in cache, Accesses will read the one in memory.  Hopefully,
  38. Microsoft will fix this before the final version.

  42. Accesses does not display the proper amount of resource memory available for version
  43. 3.1, yet.  Windows will be documenting this shortly and I'll have the fix out then.
